Any “instructor” can read PowerPoint slides out loud to a captive audience. Our discussion-based style of instruction facilitates real learning— not rote memorization. This class covers a variety of important topics including the basics of safe gun handling; types of firearms (and the pros and cons of each); equipment selection; use-of-force law; where you can and cannot carry; the psychology, physiology, and anatomy of violence; legal concerns vs. ethical or moral concerns; mindset preparedness; and the aftermath of a shooting from the perspective of an instructor who is a defensive gunfight survivor.

Our USCCA, NRA, and Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification Certified Instructors are proud to offer a cohesive one-day course that encompasses all of the required training to obtain not only your Oregon Concealed Handgun License, but the Utah and Florida non-resident concealed handgun licenses as well. Once you have selected a class date, you can get ahead by scheduling an appointment with your local county Sheriff’s Office for a date immediately following the attendance of the class. Click on your local Sheriff below.
Our course offers the training and certification you need to apply for your Oregon, Utah, and Florida licenses. Classes are held in our dedicated classroom in the gun shop.
With an Oregon License, you may carry in the following states (23):
OR, AK, MT, ID, UT, AZ, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, MO, AR, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, OH, NC, VA, VT, *MI
(*with Oregon Resident permit only)
By adding the Utah certification, it also adds the following states:
WA, NV, AZ, MT, WY, ND, TX, WI, LA, GA, WV, DE.
The following states are Constitutional carry states. In these states anyone who may legally possess a firearm, may carry it concealed without a specific license or permit:
AK, AZ, KS, ME, MS, VT, and WV
